Go to the Google home page and sign in at the top right hand corner of the page. You have to be signed in with your Google account to change the background. If you don’t have an account click on “sign in” and in the top right hand corner click on “Sign up for a new google account“. Follow the instructions Google gives and you will be gold.
Click on “Change background image” in the bottom left hand corner of the Google homepage.
After clicking “Choose a background image” you should be taken to “Select a background image for your Google homepage”. You will see options on the left including:
From your computer
Your Picasa web photos
Your recent picks
For this demonstration click on “Public Gallery”. The public gallery will bring up a seemingly endless list of photos to choose from. Find the one you want, click on it and then click “Select” in the bottom right hand corner.
